This opportunity has come about through growth in the team as they are looking to grow the credit team which is currently a team of 25.
Your new role
Manage credit problems of both a short and long term nature
Control bad debts by ensuring that the company does not take undue financial risks or non-commercial decisions, making sure overdue debts are addressed quickly.
Maintaining stock levels with the branch network, making sure payments are received for orders to go out.
Regularly review accounts on refer, credit limits and allocate cash
There must be regular contact with the internal sales team especially on decisions to escalate an account.
Agreed actions must be documented in writing, and all relevant notes put onto the system
Proactive management on accounts to make sure stock has been delivered and payments will be made on time.
Daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation
What you will need
2+ years in Credit Control / Accounts receivable
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to show empathy and well-developed listening skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
