Role Overview:As a Service Coordinator/Scheduler, you will be responsible for arranging, planning, monitoring, and coordinating field engineer activities. Your goal is to maximise engineer utilisation and deliver against KPI-based revenue and activity targets. You will be the first line of contact for customers' reactive callouts and preventative maintenance and remedial scheduling, promoting a high level of customer service and commercial awareness at all times.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Schedule Preventative Maintenance visits.
- Schedule Reactive Calls & Revisits.
- Liaise with customers and engineers to maximise the productivity of scheduling activities and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Take frontline calls from customers, acting as the initial point of contact and resolving their queries.
- Ensure all visits are booked efficiently in accordance with company procedures, maximising engineer utilisation and efficiencies.
- Ensure customer KPIs are met whenever practicable and liaise with customers in a timely fashion if not.
- Work across the team and regions in managing national and key accounts to provide a seamless service.
- Ensure that engineering data received from handheld devices is professional and compliant.
- Manage/schedule sub-contractors to ensure they comply with company standards and deliver required services professionally and timely.
Essential Skills:
- Fluent communication with customers, manufacturers, and internal staff.
- Ability to resolve customer-related issues.
- Understanding and acting on KPI information - numeracy is essential.
- Positive team player.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet agreed deadlines.
- Excellence in delivering quality customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
- IT literate (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Calm, resilient, and flexible with experience in a fast-paced service environment.
