Location: Solihull, B92Position: Full-Time Teaching AssistantGrade/Level: Foundation Stage (EYFS)Start Date: next MondayDay Rate: £90 - £102Job Overview:Josh of Aspire People is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a whimsical schools Foundation Stage team, working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with emphasis on working with 2 children with ASD and hearing impairments. The role will focus on supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those who are non-verbal and have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or hearing impairments.Key Responsibilities:* Support the learning and development of non-verbal children, particularly those with ASD and hearing impairments.* Help develop and implement strategies to increase communication and social engagement.* Assist with creating an inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.* Provide one-on-one or small group support to children as required.* Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and other staff to plan and deliver individualised education plans (IEPs).* Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviours and supports emotional and social development.* Participate in assessments and monitor children's progress.* Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Experience working with non-verbal children or those with ASD and hearing impairments.* A calm and patient approach, with the ability to engage children who may have additional needs.* A passion for supporting children's communication development.* Understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.* A positive and proactive attitude to working as part of a team.Qualifications:* Minimum of a child related degree or equivalent in a relevant field.* Relevant experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly in early years settings, is desirable but not essential.* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.How to Apply: Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role The closing date for applications is this FridayWe look forward to hearing from candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
