About the Role

The Principal Engineer (Electromechanical) will be an integral member of the technical team focused on the development of advanced temporary traffic signal systems, which include control systems, CCTV, and remote

management functionality. The role will cover all phases of the product life cycle, including:

Initial concepts, prototyping, detailed design, testing and compliance, documentation and deployment.

The technical department at SRL is committed to innovation and being a leader in the market, providing the

engineer with the opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare product documentation and detailed designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Help foster a positive work environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.

Key Skills

Essential:

  • Experience using SolidWorks
  • Previously worked in a similar product development role

Desirable:

  • Degree in Control and Systems Engineering
  • Experience using PLC's (programable logic controllers) or similar systems.
  • Coding experience in Python/C#

Qualifications:

  • HND/Degree in relevant discipline
