Enterprise ArchitectHere's what you'll be doing

npower Business Solutions powered by E.ON is the leading energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our team. For this role you will provide a collaborative enterprise architecture expert service across nBS and E.ON UK. You will have an overall responsibility for the nBS architectural landscape design, target architecture and top-level roadmap, ensuring business growth and change in business capabilities are delivered by innovative technologies, information systems and infrastructure. This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the ongoing development and refinement of the nBS target architectural landscape, providing direction to ensure that I&C Architecture roadmap is correctly aligned with the I&C business mission, strategic objectives, transformation roadmap and wider E.ON policies and governance.
  • Provide thought leadership and senior level engagement on the nBS architectural vision, business capabilities, our technologies and information systems architecture, whilst ensuring the highest standards in architectural change management.
  • Provide architectural direction to implementation teams and third parties to validate solution recommendations and design.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all the UK Digital Technology functions and E.ON UK pillars in order to understand, impact asses and collaborate on UK-wide architecture change based upon future strategic and target architecture needs.
  • Own the nBS Technical Authority and drive action orientated decision making to support the definition of technical change across nBS.
  • Work with nBS change management to provide a continuous view of architecture demands including timelines and resource requirements.
What we need from you
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Enterprise Architecture with proven track record and experience of working to certified architectural standards (TOGAF or equivalent)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of a wide range of IT systems, networks, infrastructures and technologies.
  • Ability to understand the sensitivities of a complex business and how to navigate these to ensure suitable outcomes for the organisation.
  • Strong business stakeholder management skill, with ability to communicate effectively at board level.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand business challenges.
