Are you an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager looking for a new challenge in Solihull?

Our well-established and growing independent firm is seeking a driven and skilled individual to oversee a diverse client portfolio, managing both accounts preparation and audit assignments from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Take charge of a varied client portfolio, managing accounts preparation and audit engagements through planning, execution, and completion.Lead and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high-quality standards.Review and analyse financial statements, audit files, and other related documents prepared by the team, offering feedback and guidance.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights into their business performance, planning, and compliance matters.Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for further services to support their business growth.Collaborate with senior management and partners on business development initiatives to support the firm’s growth.Keep up-to-date with accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes to improve service delivery.Play a key role in the training and development of junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing accounts preparation and audit engagements in an accounting firm.Strong technical understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting, and accounting principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a proactive and problem-solving approach.Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring smooth workflow and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) with a solid track record in audit and accounts preparation.Strong understanding of audit procedures, accounts preparation, and financial statement analysis.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
