Overview
Our large PLC Services client based in South Birmingham has been experiencing organic growth year on year, and due to full order books and big plans leaning into 2025 to bolster their service delivery offering. Amongst the positions on offer is the requirement for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis, to support the preparation of Management Accounts and aid in timely reporting.
The day to day in this role will allow the successful candidate to bolster their skillset in a well-rounded role, under the guise of a qualified manager who is an industry expert. You will be involved with the posting of accruals and prepayments, management of the fixed asset register (depreciation and disposals), and assisting with cash flow forecasting.
Skills Needed
- Currently be studying for your ACCA/CIMA actively, if a graduate you will have sat an exam on top of exemptions.
- Have previously posted accruals and prepayments, ideally, you will have also had prior exposure on the balance sheet.
- Be a progressive, dynamic and confident individual, able to comfortably liaise with stakeholder at all levels.
- Have previously used an accounts ERP system, and be savvy on Excel, able to use pivots and look-ups to sift through large data sets with ease.
