Are you an experienced finance professional looking to take on a dynamic leadership role in the retail sector? We're seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our team and oversee financial operations for a fast-growing business with over 100 stores and an expanding franchise network.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll lead a team of four, managing the financial responsibilities for six entities. You'll oversee accounts payable for stock and non-stock items, staff expenses, property payments (including rent, service charges, and business rates), and accounts receivable. This role involves leading process improvements, such as refining payment systems, supplier onboarding, and expense processes, and implementing new systems where necessary, including supplier reconciliations and standardised invoice coding. You'll also manage reconciliations and reporting for property-related payments, liaise with councils to resolve business rates arrears, and standardise invoicing and reporting within accounts receivable.

Additionally, you'll drive key strategic projects, including establishing accounts payable ledgers for new joint ventures, streamlining asset and liability transfers between entities, and implementing advanced financial tools like EDI and three-way matching through third-party platforms.
