Our Client is a well-respected, UKAS Accredited Asbestos and Environmental outfit, who are seeking a meticulous and hardworking Asbestos Laboratory Analyst for their Midlands location. Candidates will need to have a methodical approach to their work and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be travelling to the laboratory on a daily basis, so will need to be based within a commutable distance. Salaries are competitive within the industry and they can offer great training opportunities.
Candidates will need to be based in or around: Solihull, Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Rugby, Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester, Redditch, Droitwich Spa, Kidderminster, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification
- Will have experience working within a UKAS Accredited Asbestos Laboratory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with IT applications and software
- Efficient and organised manner
The Role:
- Completing bulk analysis of samples, identifying Asbestos Containing Material
- Using PLM and Stereo Light Microscopy methods to conduct analysis
- Receiving and booking in samples
- Organising servicing of laboratory equipment
- Participating in AIMS and quality assurance checks
