At Zest Education, we work with a variety of secondary schools across Birmingham and the West Midlands that have a high demand for Cover Supervisors. These roles are available for an immediate start. We have part-time and full-time positions available. Zest Education are looking for a Cover Supervisors in Bournville and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Arrive punctually to school and lessons
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to a high standard
  • Manage classroom behaviour
  • Leave feedback for the classroom teacher

To be considered, you will need a minimum of 20 days experience working with children or young people or be a recent University Graduate (in the last 2-3 years). Due to the varying nature of Cover Supervisor work, applicants can come from various backgrounds including: being a recent graduate, sports coach, youth worker, dance teacher, play group leader and scout leader.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to deliver high quality lessons
  • A passion for the development of young people
  • A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both staff and pupils
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
