Role Overview:
This hybrid role combines site-based responsibilities with office-based tasks, allowing flexibility in scheduling but requiring regular catch-ups for paperwork and team collaboration.
Key Requirements:- Knowledge of Works Management: Understand project requirements, determine necessary work, and ensure proper scheduling and execution of highway activities.
- Permit Management: Obtain and manage permits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Inspection and Safety: Conduct site inspections, ensure PPE compliance, mitigate risks, and verify adherence to safety protocols.
- Qualification: A valid New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) qualification is mandatory.
Technical Oversight:
- Assess and plan necessary works for highway activities.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
Scheduling and Permits:
- Coordinate the scheduling of works to minimize disruption.
- Process and manage permits to comply with legislation.
Site Inspections:
- Inspect live worksites for safety compliance, including PPE and risk management.
- Document findings and address non-conformance issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and related documentation.
- Provide performance data and support team reporting needs.
- Flexibility: This role does not have a set number of office days but requires regular attendance for paperwork and team coordination.
- PAYE Rate: £16.37 - £16.65 per hour.
