I'm recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join an expanding freight forwarding company based in the Birmingham area. You must have AIR or OCEAN freight experience.

Daily duties will include:

  • Receiving customer quotations
  • Air & ocean freight pricing import, export and cross trade
  • Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within an agreed timeframe
  • Creating and issuing quotations
  • Communicate with customers to manage and follow up on all quotes, obtaining feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to relevant teams
  • Track success and failure rate of quotes
  • Develop and build relationships with customers
  • Updating tariffs

Experience needed:

  • Hands on operational and industry knowledge of air and seafreight inbound, outbound and crosstrade
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Dangerous goods knowledge is preferable
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Working hours:

  • Monday - friday 0900am - 1730pm
