I'm recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join an expanding freight forwarding company based in the Birmingham area. You must have AIR or OCEAN freight experience.
Daily duties will include:
- Receiving customer quotations
- Air & ocean freight pricing import, export and cross trade
- Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
- Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within an agreed timeframe
- Creating and issuing quotations
- Communicate with customers to manage and follow up on all quotes, obtaining feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to relevant teams
- Track success and failure rate of quotes
- Develop and build relationships with customers
- Updating tariffs
Experience needed:
- Hands on operational and industry knowledge of air and seafreight inbound, outbound and crosstrade
- Ability to work under pressure
- Dangerous goods knowledge is preferable
- Strong numerical and commercial skills
- Excellent communication skills
Working hours:
- Monday - friday 0900am - 1730pm
