Settlements Analyst - RenewablesHere's what you'll be doing

npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Settlements Analyst to join our Generation Services team. For this role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate production and distribution of monthly power statements (and invoice backing data) to external Generation Services customers. You will deliver accurate management reports covering environmental certificate management, settlement tracking & cost reporting in support of cash-flow management and financial reporting. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue electricity monthly statements (or invoices) to sites with new and existing products
  • Analyse product structures and develop procedures to calculate statement & invoice values
  • Assess risk of settlement processes.
  • Understand and interpret complex electricity contracts and products
  • Manage the processing and reporting of Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs), Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) and Guarantees of Origin (GoOs)
  • Develop strong working relationships with the customers for whom they are responsible
  • Raise and resolve queries arising from data analysis and contract interpretation to reach a satisfactory conclusion for both internal npower stakeholders and external customers
  • Support, liaise and agree SLAs with other parts of the npower for resolution of issues
  • Download and validate metered data input into the settlements process
  • Resolve metered data issues and disputes by liaising with npower data validation teams
  • Work to reduce the aged debt position managed by Generation Services
  • Document all processes following development or introduction of new products
What we need from you
  • Good commercial awareness, strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial/analytical role
  • The ability to identify and resolve complex numeric problems
  • Good modelling skills, preferably in MS Excel/Access and VBA
  • The ability to develop new processes for the calculation of settlement and invoicing of new Generation Services products
