They are seeking a driven and experienced Divisional Manager to lead the pallet network side of the business. Role Overview:
As the Divisional Manager for the pallet network division, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations, ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day activities, and managing a small, dedicated team. Your primary focus will be on operational management, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a background in logistics or haulage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of operational staff within the pallet network team.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, including planning and coordinating pallet deliveries, managing fleet and drivers, and ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability within the division.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
- Work closely with senior management to align divisional goals with overall business plans.
- Provide regular reports on divisional performance and key metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the logistics, transport, or haulage industry, preferably in pallet distribution.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including fleet management and customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
