A globally-renowned engineering business that supplies safety-critical components to a varied range of multi-sector customers is seeking a Quality, Health, Safety, and environmental (QHSE) Manager to join its thriving business. With over 30 years of manufacturing prowess, the company wants to increase and bolster its teams, focusing strongly on the QHSE area. Overview -

As the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager, you will be a key leader within the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Your responsibilities will include planning, managing, implementing, and monitoring all quality management systems and processes on site. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive a positive QHSE culture and agenda within the workplace.

QHSE Manager duties include -

  • Liaise with other teams to ensure that QSHE is considered during the initial development stages.
  • Ensure that customer concerns are investigated correctly and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Assist with continuous product and process improvements, documenting any changes.
  • Maintain the QMSs and ensure that these are aligned with customer and company requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the business is always legally compliant.
  • Implement periodic gap analysis and identify hazards and opportunities for enhancing quality, health, safety, environmental, and compliance standards.

QHSE Manager desirable skills and experience -

  • Experience working in a similar role (quality manager, etc.).
  • Ideally experience within Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, or Yellow Goods.
  • Ability to keep abreast with relevant systems and policies - ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 etc.
  • Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
  • Ideally Lead auditor, Nebosh, and/or IOSH trained.
