GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful legal firm based in the West Midlands. We are supporting their recruitment for a Residential Property Paralegal to join their office south of Birmingham on a full time, permanent basis.

This position is working Monday - Thursday 09:00am - 17:30pm and Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and comes with a highly competitive salary of up to £30k.

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their busy Residential Property team and provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness. This position would be perfect for someone who is a bilingual (Polish/English), who has a passion for Residential Conveyancing.

Residential Property Paralegal main duties:

  • Handle communication with clients, brokers, estate agents.
  • Issue draft contract.
  • Submit AP1 Making applications to facilitate the registration of legal Title at the Land Registry.
  • Deal with requisitions and all sales enquiries.
  • Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
  • Draft bills and completion statements
  • To progress cases on a timely and effective basis in accordance with professional standards, internal procedures, key dates.
  • Updating the case management system/client systems as appropriate to ensure compliance.
  • Preparing files and closing and archiving.
  • Undertaking training as appropriate. This may include (but is not limited to) firm training, regulatory training, and developmental training (if appropriate).
  • Identify suitable opportunities to cross-sell the Firm’s services.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Monitor completions.
  • To assist Conveyancers in the management of their caseload by undertaking legal procedures as supervised by the Conveyancer.
  • To assist Conveyancers with file related queries, either by telephone or face-to-face, ensuring client service levels and client standards are always adhered to.
  • To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
  • To attend to clients, taking instructions, and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
  • To progress cases on a timely and effective basis in accordance with professional standards, internal procedures, key dates, and milestones.

Required skills and experience:

  • Passionate about people and the Residential Property sector
  • Have the ability to speak and write or translate in Polish and English is preferable.
  • An ambitious, motivated individual looking for a long-term career development.
  • You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your work accordingly.
  • Attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with others
  • You will have gained experience within a similar setting supporting fee earners within a busy Residential Property Team.
