Job Title: Paralegal

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 1 hour lunch (35 hours)

Location: Solihull

Salary: up to £25,000 per annum

Our client is looking for an organised and ambitious candidate to join their team as a Paralegal. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress on to working towards their solicitor apprenticeship. Working in small practice with lots of exposure and support, this is an excellent opportunity to progress in the legal field.

Duties include:

  • Front of house, meeting and greeting clients and providing refreshments.
  • Ensuring all meeting rooms and communal areas are kept clean and tidy to a high standard.
  • Answering and redirecting telephone calls.
  • Daily administration jobs including arranging meetings, diary management and appointment making.
  • Postal duties, preparing and sorting.
  • Preparation and collation of documents including audio typing, administration and filing.
  • Supporting all colleagues.
  • Keeping all the firms and client's documentation and information confidential.
  • Willing to take responsibility towards self-development and training when asked.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous Paralegal experience.
  • Excellent administration and secretarial skills.
  • High degree of self-management and initiative.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • The ability to work in a discreet and confidential manner.
  • High standard of English, including spelling and grammar.
  • Have a keen interest in law and business.
  • Possess a polite, friendly, and professional demeanour.
