Do you have a passion for diagnosing and solving complex machinery issues? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.About the Role:We are currently looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturer based near Birmingham Airport. The main purpose of the role is to service, repair, maintain, and improve site machinery and equipment while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:" Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure optimal machine performance." Carry out routine maintenance and promptly respond to equipment faults." Identify root causes of breakdowns and perform necessary repairs on various equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems." Handle emergencies and unplanned issues, ensuring minimal downtime." Install new parts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly." Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations." Control maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, and monitor maintenance costs." Ensure continuous machinery and equipment cover in case of breakdowns." Manage supply stocks and oversee waste disposal processes.Required Skills & Experience:" Ability to diagnose and solve complex machinery issues effectively." Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, single and three-phase systems, and machinery operations." Proficiency in using manual machinery to produce custom parts for equipment improvements, including lathe, turret mill, MIG welder, and pedestal drill." A deep foundation in mechanical engineering coupled with strong electrical skills."
