About the Role:
Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and experienced PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Specialist to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with students who have complex needs and require highly individualized support. You will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver highly differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with PMLD.
* Use a range of communication methods, including Makaton, PECS, and sensory strategies, to support student engagement and understanding.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to create and implement personalized learning plans.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches as necessary to meet individual needs.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued.
* Liaise regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies to support learning at home.

Requirements:
* Experience working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) is essential.
* A valid DBS check on the update service.
* Strong understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with PMLD.
* Ability to use various communication aids and sensory approaches to support learning.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
