NDT Technician/Engineer

Job Title: NDT TechnicianSalary: £45-50k per annumLocation: WorcestershireMy client is a supplier of a comprehensive range of repair, overhaul, consultancy, testing and training services to the rail rolling stock industry. As specialists in the sector, and with a track record of expertise which extends back to 1994, we have become a trusted supplier to many of the rail industry's largest and well-known names.To achieve our high level of customer service it is imperative that we employ personnel who align with the companies' working ethos and ethics.Main responsibilities will include:* Traveling to work or clients' locations.* Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment.* Carry out Non-Destructive Tests on welds, structures and materials using non-destructive techniques in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.* Interpret and evaluate test results in line with given acceptance standards.* Produce clear and concise test reports.* Always display a high level of integrity and professionalism.* Maintaining NDT equipment.* Assist the NDT Lead with basic administrative duties when required.Preferred Skills / Experience* Full driving license* Previous NDT experience (+3 years minimum)* PCN (Level II) Qualifications in the following - MPI, DPI* PCN LII VT is desirable but not essential as training can be provided* High attention to detail* Ability to work alone and as part of a team* Willing to travel and work away from home when required* Competent in the full suite of Microsoft Office Software (word, excel, outlook etc)* Good interpersonal communication skills* Willingness to gain other NDT qualifications if required by the companyBenefits:* Casual dress* Company events* Company pension* Cycle to work scheme* Employee discount* Free or subsidised travel* Free parking* Gym membership* Health & wellbeing programme* On-site parking* Private dental insurance* Private medical insurance* Referral programme* Sick pay* Store discountFor more information on this role and how to apply please contact Ronnie Burton at Shorterm Group on or email your CV to
