Quality Inspector 

Our client are a precision engineering company based in Solihull. They have been established for over 60 years and manufacture parts into a number of prestigious companies. Markets that they supply into are mainly Aerospace, Oil and Gas and Defence.

They also work a 4 day week, having Friday off.

Due to an ever growing order book they are looking to recruit a Quality Inpspector on a permanent basis. 

As a Quality Inspector you are an integral part of the responsible for our Brand, maintaining quality standards by reviewing, verifying and releasing incoming materials, performing first off’s and ongoing inspection for production processes, reviewing, validating and releasing work to and from subcontractors and inspecting and releasing finished products.

Quality Inspector Duties:

1. Programme Mitutoyo CMM machines from drawings, monitor the measurement process, and generate reports. This would be an advantage and reflected in pay rate. Not essential.

2. Inspect goods (Raw material, in process or finished).

3. Examine materials from suppliers before release for stores.

4. Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies.

5. Perform visual inspections as required.

6. Perform complex measurement using the appropriately calibrated gauges/equipment.

7. Test, measure, and analyze products as required.

8. Produce detailed reports, FAI or PPAPS as required.

9. Read and interpret charts, drawings, layouts, work instruction, etc...

10. Utilize appropriately calibrated micrometers, calipers, preset gauges etc...

11. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

12. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs as required.

13. Maintain good housekeeping.
