About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water infrastructure projects in the West Midlands as part of AMP 8. This role requires strong technical expertise, client relationship management, and the ability to oversee the full project lifecycle-from design through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interface & Relationship Management - Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are understood and expectations met.
- Project Delivery - Lead water sector projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Technical & Design Oversight - Work closely with design teams to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with industry regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Risk & Budget Management - Monitor project risks, manage costs, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Health & Safety Compliance - Ensure all projects comply with CDM regulations and best practices.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing water infrastructure projects (clean water, wastewater, pipelines, treatment works, etc.).
- Strong understanding of design principles in water projects.
- Excellent client relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of AMP frameworks and water industry regulations.
- Commercial awareness, budgeting, and risk management expertise.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Civil Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent).
- SMSTS/CSCS/PMP/APM certification is desirable.
