Initially working on a Data Centre project, this permanent position offers a combination of on-site engagement and the flexibility of remote work (it could involve some occasional European travel when needed). You will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring value throughout the lifecycle of exciting projects for our clients. We have openings for positions ranging from Assistant to Senior Quantity Surveyors. Your responsibilities will be broadly to carry out or assist with the following duties depending on your experience:
  • On-site measurement
  • Submission of early warning notices
  • Submission of compensation event notices
  • Pricing compensation events
  • Preparation of applications for payment
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Cost value reconciliation (CVR) and financial reporting
  • Subcontract orders, payment, and agreement of accounts
  • To carry out duties with due skill and care, promptly and to the Client brief
  • To co-operate and communicate with the Client representatives as necessary
  • Report to and carry out any works required by the Business Team
What We’re Looking For In A Quantity Surveyor
  • Ideally a background in Mechanical / Electrical
  • Preference for Data Centre experience, but we are also open to considering individuals with other mission-critical backgrounds that emphasise M&E expertise.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Ideally, degree educated in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software like CostX or Buildsoft
  • Like-minded QS professionals that align with the core values of the business
  • Comfortable with the RICS ethical standards and rules of conduct
  • Keen on continuous training and development.  Completing the required CPD / professional training each year as advised by RICS or your professional training requirements, including attendance at seminars
  • To work in a safe manner and promote good health and safety practices
  • To understand sustainable working methods and assist in managing the environmental impact of work
