This position is for a Technical Business Development Manager responsible for expanding opportunities in high-performance embedded computing solutions and services. The role primarily focuses on existing customers in the Defence sector, as well as opportunities in transport, IoT, marine, medical and communications industries.

The company generates significant revenues and profits, possesses extensive engineering expertise across various disciplines, and effectively leverages these strengths to provide services that are unmatched by other suppliers.

The primary target is to increase penetration among established Defence customers. Success will come from leveraging existing contacts, understanding deliverables, and identifying more opportunities within those organisations.

The approach is non-prescriptive, offering a bit of a blank canvas where individuals with ideas can be heard and influence the direction of the business unit.

A large part of your role will involve technical liaison with engineers at OEMs. Therefore, this job requires someone with a solid technical foundation.

Essential requirements for the Business Development Manager role:

5+ years of selling experience

Strong commercial awareness

Solid engineering understanding

Experience selling solutions to engineers
