We are working with a secondary school in Solihull who are looking for a Maths Teacher to carry out a long-term position covering maternity leave.Within the school, you will be working with specialist classes with children who have ECHPs related to anxiety and mental wellbeing.The role is to start after February half-term and, in the first instance, will run till Christmas, but could extend into the spring term of 2026.Please find below more information:

  • The school requires a Qualified Maths Teacher with experience of teaching Maths up to GCSE
  • They are looking for someone who ideally has experience of working with pupils with SEMH and is sensitive to the needs of pupils who suffer from anxiety and other mental health challenges
  • Planning and preparation will be involved with the role, but due to the cohort, the class sizes are small. On average, 6 pupils per class
  • The school is ideally looking for someone to work 5 days a week, 8.30 - 3.30, but would consider someone who can deliver 4 days a week
  • The pupil's behaviour was rated excellent in the last Ofsted inspection and the school has a caring and supportive ethos to both students and staff
  • The work will be carried out on a temporary time sheet basis and will be term time only working.
