We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Trade Counter Manager to join a leading builder’s merchant in the West Midlands. This is a great time to join one of the busiest trade counters that is entering an exciting phase of reinvestment.  Key Responsibilities  
  • Manage the daily operations of the Trade Counter and lead the Trade Counter team.
  • Maintain high merchandising standards at the Trade Counter.
  • Ensure all pricing labels are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor perishable stock, ensuring items on shelves are within their sell-by dates.
  • Identify opportunities for new cash or credit accounts and collaborate with the collections Manager.
  • Manage the returns process efficiently by inspecting stock and applying relevant re-stocking charges where applicable.
  • Deliver exceptional service levels for both customers and colleagues.
  • Plan and execute regular trade days and promotional events.
  • Oversee price adjustments and manage customer terms.
  • Conduct regular team communication, including appraisals and meetings.
  About You 
  • You'll need to have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy building relationships with customers, and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
  • Attention to detail, effective task delegation, and the ability to deliver outstanding service will be crucial.
  • We’re looking for a motivated and creative leader who can inspire and drive a strong team dynamic.
  • Keeping the showroom and stock areas clean, organised, and visually appealing will also be an important aspect of the role.
