- Manage the daily operations of the Trade Counter and lead the Trade Counter team.
- Maintain high merchandising standards at the Trade Counter.
- Ensure all pricing labels are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor perishable stock, ensuring items on shelves are within their sell-by dates.
- Identify opportunities for new cash or credit accounts and collaborate with the collections Manager.
- Manage the returns process efficiently by inspecting stock and applying relevant re-stocking charges where applicable.
- Deliver exceptional service levels for both customers and colleagues.
- Plan and execute regular trade days and promotional events.
- Oversee price adjustments and manage customer terms.
- Conduct regular team communication, including appraisals and meetings.
- You'll need to have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy building relationships with customers, and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
- Attention to detail, effective task delegation, and the ability to deliver outstanding service will be crucial.
