Role: Housing Services ManagerDuration: Contract - Until March 2025Rate: £25-30phStart: ImmediateIndustry: Community HousingThe post holder will be responsible for leading the delivery of customer focused services in the key service areas of Tenancy Management, Income Collection, Money Advice and Rent Control. The post holder will demonstrate dedication to continuous improvement.The post holder will use their knowledge of local, regional, and national initiatives, policies, and legislation to lead and develop their teams to ensure services provided are highly customer focused, effective, delivering clear outcomes, and providing value for money.The post holder will serve as an ambassador for the business, championing the organisation's core purpose, vision, and values.KEY DUTIES:* Lead on delivery and implementation of the new Tenancy Policy* Develop comprehensive frameworks, policies, procedures, and safe working practices for all services/team members* Work in conjunction with colleagues in the Asset Management directorate to develop a robust Neighbourhood Management Strategy* Work in close collaboration with the Community Safety Manager and Housing Options Manager to ensure a one business approach to service delivery within the Housing & Communities directorate* Work in conjunction with the Performance Improvement Officer to develop a comprehensive suite of reporting measures for the range of services, including automated reporting.* Continually seek to maximise income collection for the organisation, and sustain tenancies* Be responsible for the accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and year end performance information, ensuring these are submitted on time* Fostering a multi-agency approach to neighbourhood management working with the company Locality Programme Manager* Monitor and review all proposed legal action against any breaches of tenancy agreement or other appropriate legislation and authorise court proceedings where appropriate, in consultation with the Head of Housing* Be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and year end performance information, ensuring these are submitted on time* Ensure that appropriate working practices are embedded across all teams under your management
