SEN Teaching Assistant | Stechford B33 | £95-£105 per day | Long Term to Permanent | ASAP Start

Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Stechford. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and a passion for making a positive difference in their education.

About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students in a nurturing environment that prioritizes holistic development. You will work closely with learners on the autism spectrum, both verbal and non-verbal, to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individualized support to students with diverse needs, both in classroom settings and beyond.
  • Assist children in understanding and following teachers' instructions.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groups, either in the classroom or in the learning support department.
  • Monitor and record student progress to inform their development plans.

Key Experience:

  • Previous experience in a teaching or teaching assistant role.
  • A background in supporting children with SEN, particularly those with ADD/ADHD and autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively meet the needs of the students.
  • An adaptable, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to working in a dynamic environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
  • Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
