We are working with an SEN secondary school in Solihull who are looking for a Science Teacher to carry out a long-term part-time position. Within the school you will be working with specialist classes with children who ECHPs related to anxiety and mental wellbeing. The role is to start as soon as possible and will run till the end of the academic year.Please find more information below:

  • The school requires a qualified teacher with experience of teaching Science to GCSE
  • They are looking for someone who ideally has experience of working with pupils with SEMH and are sensitive to the needs of pupils who suffer from anxiety and other mental health challenges
  • Planning and preparation will be involved with the role, but due to the cohort, the class sizes are small on average, 6 pupils per class
  • The school are ideally looking for someone to work 3 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
  • The pupil's behaviour was rated excellent in the last Ofsted inspection and the school has a caring and supportive ethos to both students and staff
  • The work will be carried out on a temporary time sheet basis and will be term time only working.
