SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Solihull who are looking for a Head of Procurement to join the team £60,000 - £80,000 + Bonus Hybrid working Must have an IT / Tech Procurement background As a key member of our Commercial Team, you'll take the reins on driving commercial competitiveness while managing critical vendor relationships that power top-notch connectivity solutions for healthcare, public services, and some of the UK's best-known brands. Your key responsibilities: - Maximise Supplier Value: Maintain strong performance with existing suppliers while continuously negotiating better terms-such as improved discounts, rebates, and preferred pricing-to enhance the financial incentives that directly support our target operating model. - Drive Cost Savings: Identify and extract agreed savings from current third-party overheads across the business, contributing directly to bottom-line growth. - Mitigate Supply Chain Risks: Collaborate closely with the Operations Director to further minimise supply chain risks, ensuring our suppliers maintain SLA adherence above 95%. Step in as a key escalation point when needed, ensuring swift resolution of issues. - Engage with Top Suppliers: Hold weekly meetings with tier-one suppliers, building strong partnerships and gathering commercial insights. Present strategic findings to Senior Management on a monthly basis, highlighting opportunities for improvement. - Expand Supplier Network: Lead the development of a robust supplier pipeline. Assess potential suppliers based on financial metrics and intangible benefits, presenting compelling onboarding recommendations to the CFO once they meet agreed criteria. - Management & Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing procurement team, fostering growth and collaboration to drive exceptional results. What You'll Bring: - Significant experience in similar roles managing procurement ideally within the telecoms/tech sectors. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced SME environment. - Experience of managing a small procurement team. - Professional procurement qualification such as CIPS - Not essential - Ideally, familiarity with Cisco partner programs (or equivalent for Extreme, Fortinet, Forescout) and Ofcom legislation.
