Boutique Independent Travel Agency, well-respected in Solihull are seeking an experienced Retail Travel Consultant / Retail Travel Manager to join their long-established branch. This is a hands on travel consultant role, but management experience is also required for you to take over from the existing Manager in the next couple of months. This really is a lovely retail travel shop, selling a wide variety of Tour Operators to get the perfect holiday for their loyal clientele. You can expect to be dealing with dynamic packaging/tailor-made holidays, along with package holidays. Highly attractive salary up to £35k pa dependent on experience. You must have retail travel experience and have managed either as an Assistant Manager or Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Working face-to-face and over the phone taking enquires from customers.
- Offering excellent customer service, dealing with complaints in a calm and diplomatic manner.
- Quoting holidays and converting these to bookings.
- Keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date whilst having in- depth knowledge of the company's brochures and destinations.
- You can expect to be dealing with dynamic packaging/tailor-made itineraries, along with package holidays.
- Working hours are Mon- Fri 9am-5.30pm and Sat 9am-5pm on a rota.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- The successful candidate will have a strong retail travel background
- Experience of a management role in the Travel Industry
- You will be passionate about the travel industry
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge
- A strong team player
