Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking a motivated and organised Leading Hand to join their manufacturing client on a temporary to permanent basis.
Overseeing the yard operation, with 3 direct reports, our Alfreton client can offer an immediate start for the right candidate.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ordering and controlling all stock and raw materials
- Carrying out regular stock counts of all materials
- Control all incoming deliveries and directing delivery drivers
- Management of fork lift trucks on site and ensuring all operators are trained and have the skills needed to complete their role
- Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to
- Work in collaboration with all FLT operators to maintain stacking and storing of finished product
- Ensure yard space available for incoming deliveries
- Report daily to the production supervisor all yard based issues around stock control
About you:
- You must carry a 5 tonne counterbalance FLT license to be considered for this role
- Experience in a supervisory environment is highly advantageous
- Organised, friendly, with an aptitude to learn new tasks and skills
- Team player with the common goal at heart
Pay: £12.95 per hour
Hours: Days, 6am start, 48 hour week
