Commissioning Engineer (Lifting & Handling Equipment)
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Commissioning Engineer in Somerset.

The Company
We're working with a leading energy project driving innovation in sustainable infrastructure. This project is backed by industry leaders and is focused on operational excellence and engineering expertise.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the commissioning phase of a high-profile project. You will work closely with the Senior Commissioning Manager and suppliers to develop commissioning procedures, oversee site activities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting suppliers in developing commissioning documentation for system validation and testing.
* Participating in design reviews to ensure plant layout facilitates safe and efficient commissioning.
* Planning and managing commissioning tests, ensuring adherence to schedules.
* Supervising contractor commissioning personnel to ensure successful execution of commissioning activities.
* Providing safety leadership, ensuring best practices and industrial safety standards are met.
* Analysing commissioning results and producing reports summarising outcomes.
* Ensuring commissioning activities demonstrate compliance with functional and performance requirements.

The Individual
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* A strong technical background in lifting and handling equipment.
* Knowledge of lifting equipment legislation (e.g. LOLER).
* Experience with conformity assessments and working with third parties.
* Expertise in fuel route & safety-classified cranes (design, commissioning, maintenance, and operations).
* A history of leading technical teams in commissioning environments.
