About the Role:

As the Head of Science, you will:

  • Lead the Science department, managing curriculum planning, teaching, and assessment to ensure high-quality learning and progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support and mentor Science teachers within the department to enhance their professional development.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of Science teaching standards and student outcomes.
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of school policies and contribute to the broader leadership team.


What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS and a proven track record of success in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Experience in a leadership or middle management role within a Science department.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to inspire both staff and students.
