Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the electrical installation and systems for a large residential project, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors and tradespeople on-site, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of electrical works.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical submittals to ensure they meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking electrical milestones and ensuring timely delivery of electrical systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, other departments, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and control the electrical budget, ensuring costs are managed effectively and staying within project limits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges related to electrical systems during the construction phase.
- Perform regular site inspections to assess the quality of electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to the site team and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the project.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, quality control checks, and risk assessments.
- Ensure that all electrical works are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an Electrical Manager or in a similar role within residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and power distribution for residential buildings.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, regulations, and electrical safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead electrical teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Experience with project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
- Knowledge of electrical installation software and tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with residential projects in London or similar areas is a plus.
