A UK multidisciplinary SME consultancy, are seeking a Fire Engineer to join their dynamic and inclusive team.

This opportunity will offer a Fire Engineer the ability to work across the entire building lifecycle, from design to in-occupation services, you'll be involved in a diverse range of fire safety challenges.

The Fire Engineer's Role

As a business they work with a true variety of clients, you'll work on an exciting portfolio of properties including both private and public sector, residential, commercial and mixed-use.

The Fire Engineer will be responsible for a range of fire safety services, including fire strategy reports, regulatory compliance, and fire risk analysis.

  • Preparing fire strategy reports and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the design process
  • Assisting clients in meeting requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations, and Fire Safety Order
  • Conducting fire risk analysis and recommending appropriate control measures
  • Supporting internal design teams on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Carrying out site assessments, preparing specifications, and monitoring project progress
  • Advising on Building Regulations applications concerning fire safety matters
  • If suitably qualified, assisting with fire risk assessments under a BAFE SP205 certified system

The Successful Fire Engineer Will Have

  • A degree in Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers
  • Working towards or holding professional registration with the Engineering Council
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order
  • A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to manage projects within budgets and deadlines
