Senior Science Technician - Secondary School - Lambeth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Lambeth. This is a long-term, full-time position, offering the chance to lead and support the delivery of science education in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the school's **science laboratories**, ensuring they are safe, well-organized, and fully equipped.
  • Prepare and set up practical experiments and resources for **biology, chemistry, and physics lessons**.
  • Provide technical support to teaching staff, assisting with the delivery of practical lessons and ensuring smooth lab operations.
  • Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, stock levels, and chemicals, adhering to **health and safety regulations
  • Supervise and train junior technicians, providing guidance and leadership within the science department.
  • Work closely with science teachers and the **Head of Science** to support curriculum delivery and innovation in science education.
