SeAH Wind are manufacturing the largest XXXL monopiles globaly which will be used to support the global transition into cleaner renewable energy.
As Assistant Procurement Manager you willdevelop and execute sourcing strategies with the aim of strengthening the supply chain, ensuring that all key products and services are procured in a safe, sustainable manner in line with the business and project plans. You will also have experience in managing sub contracts.
This role will offer a development route to becoming the Procurement Manager for SeAH Wind.
Some the responsibilities
- Being responsible for day-to-day management of the procurement teams.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, ensure that procurement policy and guidelines support the needs of the organisation, and that best practise is delivered.
- Ensure processes and procedures are fully documented and followed.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Manage the entire procurement process for key contracts in collaboration with key business areas
- Manage tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
- Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
- Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
- Responsible for operational purchasing activities, prepare proposals to suppliers and evaluate bids and suppliers, monitor the supply chain for the business
- Develop supplier and sub-category strategies as appropriate
Experience/Education/Skills/
Certification / Qualifications
- Ideally hold CIPS qualification
- Proven experience in executing Procurement projects in the energy, renewable energy, natural resources, steel, fabrication, or construction management sector.
- Experience of managing sub contracts
- Strong understanding of industry regulations, restrictions and laws.
- Strong communication skills, with the capability to interact with vendors, suppliers and customers.
- Strong knowledge of general procurement principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with good market and commercial awareness.
- Solid vendor networking experience and handling of vendor agreements.
- Solid understanding of contract terms, applications and legal requirements, including the ability to read, edit and interpret contractual documents.
- Solid understanding of using data to drive procurement decisions.
