About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRICS Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic private consultancy based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, retail, and public sectors. You will play a pivotal role in delivering cost consultancy and project management services to prestigious clients, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre- and post-contract cost management services.
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering assessments.
- Administer contracts and oversee procurement processes.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and variations.
- Advise on financial implications and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports.
Requirements:
- MRICS qualified with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in a consultancy environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Strong cost planning, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in relevant software (e.g., CostX, CATO, or similar).
