About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRICS Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic private consultancy based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, retail, and public sectors. You will play a pivotal role in delivering cost consultancy and project management services to prestigious clients, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre- and post-contract cost management services.
  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering assessments.
  • Administer contracts and oversee procurement processes.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and variations.
  • Advise on financial implications and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • Strong cost planning, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in relevant software (e.g., CostX, CATO, or similar).
