Temp opportunity.

gap personnel Exeter, are currently recruiting for a Wood Machinist on a temporary placement based in South Brent, Devon. You will be joining a family run manufacturing business who create bespoke products such as gates and doors.

Due to the location, you will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle due to the remote location.

As a Wood Machinist your duties will include:

  • Operation of Power Tools and hand tools to cut material to size and shape
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials into vehicles
  • Completing various tasks during day to day running
  • Stacking products
  • Making products

About You:

  • Keen eye for detail
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to operate power tools and hand tools
  • Mechanical knowledge (advantageous)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
  • A keen eye for numeracy, accuracy, and quality control
  • Experience not necessary as full training will be provided

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, 0700am – 1700pm or 0800am – 1700pm
  • £12.00ph

Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
