About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant at our school in Croydon, you will work closely with teachers to help create an engaging learning atmosphere. You will support students with their academic and social development, assist in lesson preparation, and work with small groups or individual students to provide additional guidance and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring all students are included
- Support individual students and small groups with their learning activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and areas for improvement
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, contributing to the wider school community
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different students' needs
- A relevant degree or similar
