Receptionist/Office Administrator 

Location: Croydon, CR0 9AZ

Salary: £23,740.15 - £25,590.84 per annum Grade 3/4 (point 14 – 21) (£27,028- £29,135 FTE) (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: 36 hours per week, 5 days per week, Term time plus 1 weeks. (9am to 5pm to ensure adequate cover at the start of the school day.

The Academy is a co-educational special school specialising in autism and complex needs and addresses the social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs of pupils aged 2 – 19.

It is located in New Addington and their new purpose designed school is equipped to meet the needs of students with autism and complex needs.

The school enhances the experience of parents and carers and progress of children and young people through effective collaborative working and joined up service delivery with partners, especially health, education and family support practitioners.

The Role

Maintaining security for the building by providing passes to visitors and coordinating a safe and secure entrance and exit of all students, staff and visitors. Ensuring that all visitor identification is checked, and students leave the premises with an appropriate parent/escort or driver.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with school administration systems.
  • Able to maintain accurate, legible and up to date records
  • Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with pupils, colleagues and visitors.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to chase staff to obtain information in time for meetings.
  • Able to adhere to the school’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Applications
