Our client is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager who is eager to take the next step in their career and progress into a Registered Manager role within a year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly established four-bedded residential children's home dedicated to providing high-quality, therapeutic care for young people aged 11-18 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.



About the Role


Working closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the home's culture and operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Leading, supervising, and developing a dedicated staff team.
- Promoting a positive and nurturing environment for young people, helping them build life skills and resilience.
- Implementing safeguarding procedures and maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations.
- Supporting the transition to a Registered Manager role within 12 months, with full training and mentorship provided.



About You


To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a children's home.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and children's residential care legislation.
- Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
- Passion, resilience, and a strong desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including some evenings and weekends.
