Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: ÂŁ40,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)
Hours: Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for a committed and proactive Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of our children’s residential home. Please note: experience of working in an Ofsted-regulated home is essential for this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior residential practitioner or current Deputy looking to develop their leadership skills and contribute to a high-quality, child-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting best practice and a consistent, nurturing environment.
- Assist with care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance processes.
- Take on management duties in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Build strong working relationships with external professionals, families and the wider care team.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting is essential.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations and relevant legislation.
- Leadership qualities with a supportive and resilient approach.
- A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
