We are proud to be working alongside an amazing independent school for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe sensory impairment and complex medial needs (PMLD).
Our partner school caters for children and young people from the age of 3-25 and takes a holistic and collaborative approach with their in-house teaching and learning, nursing and therapy teams.
All pupils are wheelchair users, are medically dependent and require support with personal care. Pupils have access to fantastic facilities including hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, onsite physiotherapists and registered nurses
SEND Teaching Assistant (PMLD) | Job Summary
- Initial 1-Year timesheet contract commencing immediately
- Independent Special Needs school in South Croydon
- £500 per week | £100 per day | Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- Providing support to 3-25 year olds with SEND
- Term-Time only contract + 2 weeks in July for Summer Club
- Working hours: 8:30am-4:00pm
- Experience of supporting pupils with PMLD
- Confident and willing to support with personal care
- Willing to support with hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
- Good interpersonal and administration skills
- Creative and patient mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Manual Handling Training and Level 2 Safeguarding Training required (Ribbons & Reeves will provide information about both courses if you do not hold these certificates)
