A Government Department are seeking an iTrent Systems Lead to join their Data and Systems team and take the lead on the maintenance of their iTrent system.

The HR Systems Lead will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing the HR system (iTrent) to ensure operational and statutory requirements are met. In addition to leading on the scheduling, testing and implementation of any system updates required by the system provider, the role holder will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for system improvement, supporting any technical issues that arise for the HR system users and leading on approved changes.

The role holder will provide excellent technical and operational advice and guidance to all HR system users, whilst also offering expert knowledge on data management and complex reporting.

You will be required on site 2 days a week in Croydon. The role does offer a government pension and a discretionary bonus scheme.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR system supplier, upgrades, building new elements, software and performance testing, audit compliance and management of system permissions and HR system access and permissions across the organisation.
  • Establish clear procedures, processes, and workflows for all system operational activities.
  • Develop procedures to identify data anomalies or poor system user practice and advise and guide on appropriate corrective action as deemed necessary.
  • Ensure organisational structures and posts are accurately maintained within the HR systems, to allow for efficient management reporting and financial budgeting/forecasting.
  • Manage integrations to support routine processes like annual pay and bonus reviews, and annual benefit enrolment employee selections
  • Manage the contract, renewal and negotiations with external HR system provider (i.e. MHR).
  • Manage the relationship with the HR system supplier, ensuring performance is measured against agreed service levels and contract and invoices are paid on time.
  • Create and maintain detailed process manuals for HR system to prevent single points of failure and facilitate upskilling within the team or business.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience of iTrent, with the ability to rectify system issues
  • Some experience of Power BI and / or Business Objects reporting
  • Experience in HR business systems analysis and design and project life cycle methodology, best practices and processes
  • Experience working alongside a Human Resources and Technology team / department, primarily in areas such as HR systems, management information and HR analytics
  • Good communication, inter-personal and stakeholder management skills including 3rd party providers
