Food Production Manager - Day Shift - Monday to Friday£35,000 to £40,000Croydon

My client is looking for a Food Production Manager within their prep division to join their team and oversee the preparation of their food products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised, and enjoys managing people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage a Team: Oversee a team of food prep staff of 7, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
  • Process-Driven Operations: Implement and maintain effective food preparation processes to meet daily and weekly production targets.
  • Prep Plan Coordination: Ensure that all prep plans are completed every Friday, coordinating with the team to guarantee readiness for the week ahead.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality across all stages of production. Make sure machines are kept in operation efficiently.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Work closely with the production departments to align production schedules and ensure seamless operations.

  • People Manager: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Organised and Process-Oriented: A methodical approach to food preparation and process improvement.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: While the core hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, flexibility is allowed in terms of start times.
  • Food Industry Experience: Prior experience in food preparation or production management is essential, particularly within sandwich or fresh food products.
