I am currently recruiting for are a well-established and vibrant nursery in Croydon, committed to providing high-quality early years education and care for children aged 0-5. The nursery has a Rich History with over 300 Nurseries in the UK, Ireland & Overseas.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to join their leadership team and help us continue to deliver outstanding care and education to the children in our care.
The Role: Nursery Manager - South Croydon
As Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest standards of childcare and education. You will lead and support a team of dedicated staff, manage parent relationships, and ensure the nursery is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Nursery Manager - South Croydon
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of practitioners, including staff development, training, and performance management.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents and families, ensuring open communication and a collaborative approach to each child's development.
- Maintain the highest standards of care and early years education, ensuring the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and all relevant regulations.
- Manage the nursery's budget and resources efficiently, ensuring the nursery operates within its financial parameters.
- Plan and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Support and mentor staff in delivering a high-quality curriculum, helping to meet the individual needs of each child.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 3 or above childcare qualification
- 2 + years proven experience in a senior management or leadership role within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and parents.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of care.
