Job title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Southleigh Community Hospital Brighton Rd, South Croydon CR2 6AA
Rate Of Pay: £26K pa
Shift Patterns: Part time 24.6 hours a week.
Information about the Role: Occupational Therapist at Elizabeth your duties will include the following:
- Composing and articulating occupational therapy reports based on assessment and treatment.
- Responsible for the clinical Occupational Therapy provision for patients.
- To oversee the activity needs of the patients in and beyond care, ensuring that support is offered to care workers and activity staff to ensure adequate activity provision for patients.
- To undertake occupational therapy assessments and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with company and professional standards and provide activity/audit reports as required.
- To support the organisation, delivery, and monitoring of the service.
- Carry continuing responsibility for the co-ordination and assessment of patients' occupational therapy needs, along with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapy.
- Assess and provide equipment to aid rehabilitation and improve quality of life, ensuring that appropriate instruction, training and safety awareness is given where needed.
- Promote maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to needs
Information about the Service: Elizabeth House Hospital has 30 mental health beds across four units. The Hospital is able to offer a 24 hour acute admission within a safe and secure environment. .
Necessary Experience or Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with appropriate professional body (HCPC)
- Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.
- At least 6-months experience of working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
- Have the right to the work in the UK
